Really powerful concept to be at least aware of. It enables metaprogramming in cool ways that aren't otherwise possible without using an external preprocessor. I feel like code repetition is the easiest way to overload a programmer's brain by playing a dumb game of spot the difference, so abstracting code even in unorthodox ways it's certainly welcome in my opinion.
